Rules – Crews

  • Any dance style is allowed.
  • Dancers are only permitted to dance for one team in only one category.
  • Each team must consist of a minimum of 3 dancers and a maximum of 25 dancers.
  • The registered number of dancers of a crew remains in the entire competition, which means that when a crew reaches the final, they compete with the same formation (number of dancers) as in the preliminary round. The only exception is the loss of dancers due to injury in the current competition. In this case, a group may also compete with fewer dancers in the final. If the number of dancers changes after registration and before the start of the event, this must be communicated by e-mail.
  • The performance should have a duration of a minimum of 2:00 minutes and a maximum of 7:00 minutes. An over- and underrun leads to fine.
  • The mix of music and the choreography in the finale may differ from the performance in the preliminary round.
  • Size of stage: 17 meters (width) x 12 meters (depth)
  • The music (mp3-file), pictures and information about your crew need to be sent by mail on time. It is the responsibility of the group to ensure that the music as mp3 has been checked for length and quality before submission. Together with your confirmation you’ll get further information.
  • Participation is permitted for all crews that also compete in international and national competitions and championships. The aim of our event is the encounter and diversity of different young dance cultures without a commercial background.
  • Prior to the contest you must tell us if the choreography is a licensed or non-licensed choreography.
  • Rioting between crews and audience leads to disqualification.
  • Each team is allowed to have an attendant (male and female). The attendants are permitted to stay in the backstage area. Any other person must pay the regular entrance fee.
  • Access to the backstage area is only permitted for team members and attendants.
